Breathing Heavenly Qi

I started following a blogspot today that talks about healing through breathing. I was fascinated by the way the author described breathing in God particles. It made me think of how in Chinese Medicine we call the air that we breath Heavenly Qi. There are two ways that our bodies bring in Qi. First breathing in oxygenated air and second through the foods that we put in our bodies. Through acknowledging that the air we breath is filled with God’s love and nourishment, we are empowering our bodies with energy that is very healing. With intention we can channel that Qi anywhere we would like it to go. So if there is pain or dis-ease we can intend our Qi to that location in the body. Anyone can do this! Our breath, full of oxygen gives our bodies the power to function. Most people breathe without paying any attention. This breath is normally shallow and only filling up a fraction of the lungs. So, it is important to start mindful breathing.

Start with 5 minutes at a time. Sit or lie in a comfortable position. Make sure that if you are sitting that your posture is upright and head held in alignment with the spine. Fill up your belly then allow the inhalation to fill all the way to the top of your lungs. Do this slowly. Exhalation should be from the top of the lungs back down to the belly. If there is mental resistance or anxiety, remind yourself of your intention. Try to clear your mind and let the stress of the day melt away. This is a way to press the reset button. It doesn’t take long, just 5 minutes at a time. Mindful breathing can be achieved at any time. Whenever you feel stressed, impatient, angry or sad remember that you can bring in God’s love anytime. Try it~Practice~Love it You will be amazed how much better you can feel after 5 minutes of intentional breathing. Slow down long enough to pay attention to the most important element to our bodies~Oxygen~Heavenly Qi. Be well, be happy.
